It was a chilly day today but we still bundled up and got outside for a bit. Hats and mittens were added to our outfits today as the weather dipped down to 3°C , but we spent about an hour outdoors at Hermitage Park.
We picked up hotdogs and marshmallows at the grocery store, then stopped for a bundle of wood, at which point the kids were questioning what was happening and pleasantly surprised with the answer.
While I got the fire going, they explored the bushes around the site. We had a quick lunch and packed it up once the teeth started chattering. Although their noses and fingers were red, I heard repeatedly on the way home how much fun they had with the campfire, so I would call it a success!
